Feeling uncertain and anxious really stinks. We can start to feel helpless and hopeless, and we step into chronic stress. And as we all know, chronic stress brings with it a whole host of badness, from illnesses to brain fog to depression to sleep disruptions.
So if you’re stuck in that crappy place, try this: sit down with a piece of paper and ask yourself what you can do right now. What’s a small step you can take immediately that will help move the needle? When you have some ideas about that, what are some things you can do next? Come up with a realistic framework of small actions you can take today. You don’t have to be making giant leaps forward—remember that this is a pandemic! But small actions add up. Progress isn’t all or nothing, so keep taking those small steps and taking those breaks as you need them.
And don’t forget to reach out if you need to!
